Abu Dhabi’s energy summit tackles urgency of climate change

The aim in the United Arab Emirates is to increase the contribution of clean energy to the total energy mix from 25% to 50% by 2050.
With only 12 years left, according to experts, to keep the world below a 2-degree Celsius temperature change — said to be the limit to avoid catastrophic consequences — energy is seen as a central aspect of addressing climate change.
